This format is used by Olympus cameras to create RAW images. These files record data from the camera matrix that are used to generate the image. It contains raw data about contrast, saturation, color temperature, as well as metadata. The exposure and white balance can be changed in an ORF image while maintaining the level of detail and quality of the photo.

AVIF is the youngest, but most efficient and advanced codec for image compression. AVIF file size is 10 times smaller than JPEG with the same image quality. AVIF supports not only Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) images but also High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG). It can store both image items and image sequences. AVIF is a HEIF conformant format. Netflix has published the first AVIF image in 2018, but still only a few software support it.
