This is an international format that was developed for the purpose of storing images of the body taken with medical imaging equipment. It includes magnetic resonance and computer tomography images, ultrasound images and fluoroscopy, as well as images taken with other medical imaging equipment. DCM also stores patient information in the metadata, which form part of a single file.
XFig file format
Vector Read Write
This is a file used for creating line plots in the form of vector images. They include text objects, splines, forms, arcs, lines and arrows. It can contain a set of colors, images and sketches. It was initially developed for the Xfig drawing program, but today it’s used in other drawing editors.
