This is a format created in the Acorn Draw program, intended for image visualization by using vector lines. It’s used for storing information in the publishing business (brochures, logotypes, etc.). The main advantage is it’s high quality source images when printing. It’s been in use since 1980.
Photo CD
Image Read Write
This format was developed by Kodak in order to store images on optical or other media. It is used as a format for archiving scanned documents on Kodak devices. It encodes images in 24-bit color and supports resolutions of up to 6144×4096 pixels.
